How To Choose The Right Jewelry

  1. Make It Meaningful
  2. Stick to Minimal
  3. Quality Over Quantity
  4. Focus On Heirloom
  5. Know Your Size

1. Make It Meaningful

I first want to discuss that jewellery needs to be meaningful. When I want to talk about that, jewellery needs to be significant. When I have a piece of jewellery representing a place I love or somebody I love, I’m bound to keep that piece. One way you could do this is through a monogram or make it about a spot you love.

Another example of this is Missouri has a line called the Zodiac collection. In the picture, I’m wearing a symbol of the Leo constellation representing the Zodiac sign. I could have gotten my own getting his makes It a little more special.

I’ve never been that much of an astrology person, but it’s a constellation. That’s really special because of the astronomy factor in it. My grandfather was an astronomy professor, which is symbolic in two ways.

2. Stick to Minimal

I want to always make my jewellery more on the minimal side. When I was a teenager, I used to wear giant colourful statement earrings all the time, even with a sweatshirt, but why did I do that? I had longer hair.

The great thing about minimal jewellery is that you can layer it all, so it’s not something you will get sick of. It’s not something that other people will like. She’s simply wearing that jewellery again, like when you wear something that could be worn consistently. Then, at that point, you can decorate alongside it and make it extraordinary.

3. Quality Over Quantity

I want to talk about something that is really a pillar of this blog: quality over quantity. But I want to phrase this differently regarding jewellery quality than quantity because you could layer.

I like to add to my collection. It’s continually growing and always the same, so I prefer to get quality. I could add to it over time; it is a slow process so far it’s taken me a couple of years to build up my jewellery collection.

4. Focus On Heirloom

All of these tips so far have to do with heirlooms which is my next tip. So, that’s something else I keep in mind: this piece will be something I could pass down one day.

When I was about five, my grandma had an opal ring. I loved it so much that she promised it to me, so one day, I plan to have it and store it, keep it safe, and wear it on special occasions.

But what’s special to me, so heirloom is something I think about whenever I add to my jewellery collection.

5. Know Your Size

Finally, when picking out jewellery, one of the most regretful purchases is when It doesn’t fit right. So that could mean four rings, especially It can be very tricky when I pick out sizes of circles.

The best way to start is to pick something for not your middle finger, but that is middle-sized for all of your fingers.

The first ring accessory you get is for a finger that is middle-sized, so that, for me, is my index finger. If I get something sized for that finger, then what I can do is If I ever like to gain or lose weight or if I’m just a little bit more bloated. Then I can switch fingers, so this ring I have is another one from a jury, and that one I could wear either on my thumb or I could wear it on my ring finger.
