Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez officially ended their marriage on Tuesday. The court in Los Angeles made the final decision, wrapping up a process that started six months ago when Grande filed for divorce, saying they couldn’t resolve their differences.

Court documents reveal that Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez had been living separately for more than a year before they filed for divorce. Thankfully, their split was made easier by a prenuptial agreement, and since they didn’t have any children, there were no custody issues. In October, they came to an agreement where Grande would pay Gomez $1,250,000 and they would divide the proceeds from selling their Los Angeles home. Additionally, Grande offered to cover up to $25,000 in Gomez’s legal fees.

They fell in love fast, starting their romance in January 2020 and announcing their engagement to the world by December of that same year. During the pandemic, they stuck together in quarantine and even shared the spotlight in Justin Bieber’s music video for “Stuck With U” in May 2020.

Even though they used to be close, Grande and Gomez decided to call it quits, closing the chapter that included a private wedding at Grande’s home in Montecito, California, on May 15, 2021.

As their legal matters come to a close, Grande stays focused on her successful career. The Florida native singer recently dropped her seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine,” on March 8th, which thrilled her fans. Also, she’s set to star as Glinda in the highly anticipated movie adaptation of “Wicked,” alongside Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba, scheduled for release in November.

Why did Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez get divorced?

During the promotion of her latest album “Eternal Sunshine,” Ariana hinted that her husband had been unfaithful. Referring to him as a “bad boy,” she suggested he was involved with someone else, ultimately leading to their separation.
